City budget sets aside funds for wayfinding signage and $60,000 for countywide land bank support

She identified $150,000 recommended for wayfinding signage and $60,000 that the city would contribute toward standing up a countywide land bank being organized by the Economic Development Corporation (EDC). The EDC and county are still defining the land‑bank structure; Beth said the EDC has asked the city for a $60,000 contribution to support staffing and startup.
Beth also described $40,000 (Baker Tilly) quarterly consulting for the comprehensive financial plan and an earmark to support food-and-beverage marketing if the advisory team chooses to proceed. She listed a $30,000 annual contribution toward a part‑time veteran service officer (employed by the county) and line items for beautification (flowers, holiday lighting, welcome-sign refresh) that the parks department currently supports. Beth said she expects some of those responsibilities to shift back to community organizations as they regain capacity.
Ending: Beth said the city will coordinate with the EDC and county on the land‑bank plan and will provide council with additional detail as the EDC finalizes its model and consultant selection.
