At the start of the Sept. 9 meeting, the Board of Public Works approved the consent agenda after removing one item (the Wrapped in Love public art installation) for separate discussion under new business.
Items listed on the consent agenda in the meeting packet included minutes (June 18, 2025); Resolution 2025-068 (Hoosier Hoops on Kirkwood); Resolution 2025-069 (Jill Bierman 5Ks); a memorandum of understanding among the Redevelopment Commission, the Board of Public Works and the Red Cross; acceptance of a right-of-way dedication from Catalent; multiple outdoor lighting service agreements with Duke Energy at specified streets; a contract with ParkMobile; Resolution 2025-066 (Wrapped in Love — moved to new business); a service agreement with Penske; and funding for law drafting standard operating guidelines for the Bloomington Fire Department, among other routine payroll and packet items.
After the consent agenda vote, the board approved claims in the amount of $1,827,596.56 on a separate motion and then adjourned. Roll-call votes on both the consent agenda and the claims showed Carone, Roach and Cox Deckard voting Aye. No public comments were recorded on the consent items or claims at the meeting.
