City staff and a city representative who inspected the site told the board that the property had made multiple improvements since the prior hearing, including a dumpster enclosure, painted bollards and guardrails, and general clean-up. Inspectors noted remaining items: lack of ADA access to the restroom and an improperly placed ADA parking space; one security camera was pointed the wrong direction. City staff said the operator agreed to correct the camera.
A motion to approve the gas station exemption was passed “contingent upon the camera being turned facing the right way.” The board’s vote was by voice; no further conditions or penalties were recorded at the meeting.
Staff indicated the earlier hearing on the property occurred in 2023 and that the current inspection showed substantial progress on remedial items. The board thanked the property representatives and closed the agenda item.
