Fremont Re-1 board recognizes local businesses and Operation Sudden Impact

At its Monday meeting, the Fremont Re-1 School District Board of Education recognized a $750 donation from the local Fremont Napa Auto Care Group and praised Operation Sudden Impact and partner organizations for organizing a Sept. 11 community event.
The board’s statement said the Fremont Napa Auto Care Group — including the Rock Parts Company, the local Napa store, Zerbe Automotive, Austin Automotive and Canyon City Tire — donated $750 to the district. The board “expressed their sincere appreciation for this contribution and acknowledges the group's commitment to enhance the learning experience for our students,” the meeting record shows.
Board members also offered kudos to Operation Sudden Impact for planning and organizing a community partnership event on Sept. 11 that brought together local organizations to support students. The board named Rob Brown, Diana Armstrong and Laura Provenzano from FEDC; Amanda Cornelius from FMI; and Brett James from PCC as people involved in the effort and invited representatives to come forward. Board members described the event as a surprise-driven, partnership-focused activity that drew praise from staff and students.
No formal action or budget appropriation was recorded in relation to the donation during the meeting. The acknowledgments were presented as part of the board’s Awards and Kudos section.
