Missoula City Council opened a public hearing Sept. 22 on the city’s Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) funds covering the program year July 1, 2024–June 30, 2025. Grants administrators Kendra Laysom and Lisa Bauer presented outcomes and project updates and answered council questions.
Laysom said the city received about $350,000 in HOME funds and roughly $533,000 in CDBG for the 2024 program year. She described eligible HOME activities such as homeowner rehabilitation, homebuyer assistance, rental development and rental subsidy. HOME funds supported one HOME project in 2024 and ongoing work on a large 2023 rehab project.
