Joe Calderon, attorney for the petitioner, announced the intent to withdraw the rezoning application for the parcels identified in the certified Metropolitan Development Commission report. Council staff said they would "work with Mr. Calderon to get the adequate documentation from the MDC" and bring confirmation back to the council at its next meeting on Oct. 6. Council leadership said the hearing is postponed until that documentation is received; if the petitioner does not effectuate a withdrawal, the hearing will proceed on Oct. 6.
Councilor Michael Hart asked for confirmation on the next steps and was told the petitioner will take the withdrawal to the MDC and the council will postpone the hearing accordingly. No council vote was taken; the action was administrative and recorded on the meeting record.
