The Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted Sept. 22 to award the Eastbrook Trail Improvements contract to Wagner General Inc. for $485,691, town staff said.
Deputy town engineer Shane Richardson described multiple trail conditions where tree roots and freeze-thaw cycles had lifted or separated the asphalt, creating trip hazards. Richardson said the project was included in the FY2026 CIP; 12 contractors requested plans and five submitted bids, with Wagner General submitting the lowest bid at $485,691.
The contract is a unit-price contract with substantial completion required within 90 days. Richardson said the longer, more improved repair option returned a lower total cost than earlier estimates and that the selected bid fits the FY2026 budget allocation. The board approved the contract by roll call with all voting members in favor: Aldermen Robbins, Hall, Jordan, Marshall, Stamps and Mayor Frasier.
