Nassau County approves three-year collective bargaining agreement with Fire Rescue local 3101

Commissioners praised staff and the union for reaching the agreement and noted the board’s continued focus on public safety. The motion to authorize the chair to sign the contract passed on a unanimous roll-call vote (5-0). Several commissioners joined union and staff members for a photo following the vote.
The board did not include contract language or enacted wage tables in the public hearing record during the meeting; the contract authorization motion appears on the consent/new business portion of the agenda and was recorded as approved. Staff indicated the contract will be implemented according to its terms and the county’s payroll and human-resources processes.
