County approves purchase of electric and hybrid vehicles after vendor pricing correction

The Teton County Board of County Commissioners on Sept. 22 approved purchases of new county vehicles, including an electric Chevrolet Equinox and hybrid pickup and SUVs, following a vendor bid correction.
Mark Erwin, director of general services, told the board one vendor had originally submitted a bid that reflected the vendor's internal cost rather than the county purchase price, requiring a correction to the competitive analysis. Even after the correction, Erwin said the county remained about $14,493 under the amount it had predicted earlier in the year for the four vehicles.
The board approved purchase of a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV and a 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid from Unified Fleet Services in the amount of $81,576.74, and approval of two 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrids from Teton Motors in the total amount of $73,930. Commissioner MacKer moved the purchase and Commissioner Karlman seconded; the motion passed unanimously by voice vote.
