Preliminary plats: The council approved PZE-25-0055, the North Atlas Industrial Subdivision preliminary plat. Council members said the location aligns with industrial land use near the airport and should support business opportunities.
Intersection design: The council approved a professional services agreement with Welsh Commer (Welsh Comer engineering services) for design of the Hayden Avenue and Hutter Road intersection. The scope will evaluate signal and roundabout options and noted that wetland mapper data showed a potential wetland in the project area; staff said the agreement assumes no wetland delineation or mitigation and that staff would contact relevant authorities (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) if necessary.
Events and agreements: Council approved a support agreement for the Hayden Lake Marathon (Negative Split LLC/GEM Community Citizens Project Group dba Hayden Lake Marathon); approved a request from Idaho Brewers United for an event permit and to serve alcohol during the North Idaho Brewfest; and approved a contract with Ruan Jaeger and Associates (as-needed planning consulting) to provide additional planning capacity while staff positions are filled.
