Walker asks for volunteers as Pumpkin Bash moves to new location on Oct. 4

City Manager Sissons and commissioners asked for volunteers for the Pumpkin Bash event scheduled for Oct. 4 and said the event will move to a community park this year.
"Nicole is still pleading for help. If you know of anybody that wanna help or any friends or family or anybody, please get in touch with her," Sissons said. He described the event as a Saturday event lasting about an hour and a half.
Commissioners noted the change in venue could create logistics challenges: one commissioner said the move away from the campus may require finding another site such as the ice and fitness center but cautioned that Saturday mornings there host hockey and soccer activities. The commissioner added that an earlier start time was requested by younger parents who prefer afternoon nap schedules.
The commission did not take any formal action related to event permits or funding at the meeting; staff said they would continue planning and circulate details to commissioners.
