Duchene County Commission approves grant, licenses and routine fiscal items

Sheriff Tucker and commissioners discussed the devices’ intended use as presumptive portable breath testers (PBTs) and certification/maintenance requirements. Commissioner Chen moved to approve the grant application and to authorize the chair to sign; Commissioner Quinn seconded the motion. The commission voiced its approval with recorded “Aye” votes and the chair signed the application.
Commissioners also voted to accept a set of business licenses (including Pivot Pros, a kennel license, B and V storage solutions and the reopened meat shop Usage Meats), approve Board of Equalization adjustments as presented, and approve payroll and vouchers for the period that ended Aug. 30, 2025.
