The Village of Hortonville board voted Sept. 18 to approve three agenda items: a payment to a contractor for ongoing street work, a revised ward map tied to a recent annexation, and a resolution to amend the village fee schedule.
Trustees approved a pay application to Northeast Asphalt for the John Street and Farmers project in the amount of $71,566.33. The pay application had been reviewed by the village engineer before the motion. A trustee moved to approve the payment and another trustee seconded; the board voted by roll call and the motion carried.
The board also approved a new ward map required by a recent annexation. Trustees said the change adds a small area in a different supervisory district; there are no voters in the tiny added sliver but the procedural map update is required.
Finally, the board adopted Resolution R-15-25 to amend the fee schedule. The resolution set a fee for police fingerprinting that the village did not previously specify, reduced the bicycle registration fee from $10 to $0, and adjusted the charge for state-required building-permit seals from the prior amount to $40 to reflect higher costs.
Motions on the payment, ward map and resolution were seconded and approved by roll call; the minutes note “motion carried” for each action but do not record individual vote names in the transcript excerpt.
