Bossier Parish School Board moves Oct. 16 meeting to 5 p.m. because of Airline High homecoming

At the Sept. 18 regular session, the Bossier Parish School Board approved a one-time change to the start time of its Oct. 16 meeting, moving the meeting to 5 p.m. to accommodate a homecoming parade on the Airline High School campus.
Superintendent Jason Rowland presented the request, saying the district planned to compress the agenda so members could finish business and then attend or observe the parade. “Just a one-time move to a 5 p.m. start Oct. 16,” Rowland said.
The motion to change the meeting time was made by Glenn Bullard and seconded by Miss Brotherton. President Newman called for electronic and vocal votes; the board recorded no opposition and the motion passed.
No further changes to the board’s regular schedule were made at the meeting.
