Board members press district for open RFP and transparency after interim consulting contracts

Superintendent Kimberly Armstrong responded that the district is preparing a PPS‑led RFP process and that legal and board leadership have been engaged in planning. Armstrong framed her role as the district’s executive and said the district needs time to organize the procurement and interim support so work on the three high schools proceeds without interruption. In the meeting she said, “As superintendent. Right? I mean, you hire me to to lead the district, and and that's what I'm doing,” and described ongoing work to both use interim consultants and establish a formal RFP.
