Keene FFA Community Alumni group introduces nonprofit fundraising, plans Tractor Supply fundraiser

Brady said the alumni group is a separate nonprofit organization with its own tax identification number and that it will raise money so students can “earn their way” to events and pay for show fees, senior banquets and scholarships. “We are...a completely nonprofit group,” Brady said, noting the organization’s intent to help students who otherwise could not afford program expenses.
The alumni group described several fundraisers and activities that either have taken place or were planned, including restaurant nights (Sonic), a Farmers Market set-up at Tractor Supply with a bake sale and face painting, car washes and calendar and raffle sales. The group also performs community service, Brady said, citing recent donations of baked goods to Town Hall Estates nursing home and student help placing flags on a recent commemorative morning. She invited residents to attend a Tractor Supply Farmers Market fundraiser scheduled for the coming Saturday.
Brady identified local volunteers and officers present and thanked council and staff for the opportunity to introduce the alumni group.
