Commission moves October meetings to Oct. 6 and Oct. 20

The Harlingen City Commission approved moving its October meetings. The regular Oct. 1 meeting was moved to Oct. 6 and the Oct. 15 meeting was moved to Oct. 20 to avoid conflicts with community events and to provide staff additional time to prepare agendas.
Commissioners discussed calendar conflicts, including the EDC's Rise Up pitch competition on Oct. 1; some commissioners indicated travel or other obligations around the proposed alternative dates. After confirming availability, the commission voted unanimously to reschedule the two meetings.
Staff will publish updated meeting notices and update the city website to reflect the date changes.
