The Cannabis Compliance Board approved a petition Sept. 18 allowing Colton (Skyler) Mora to seek an agent card to work at a cultivation facility, subject to conditions the board attached during the meeting.
Mora told the board he had worked at a small cultivation farm near the town of Caliente (referred to in the meeting as Calleany) and that the employer said he could return if the card were issued. Board members noted Mora’s completion of rehabilitation programs and parole; Mora said he completed parole the previous month and offered to supply supporting certificates and employer confirmation.
Member Berry moved to approve the petition and Member Maserana seconded with an added condition that staff confirm employment availability. The board added conditions that Mora provide documentation establishing Nevada residence beginning in 2020 (examples suggested by staff included DMV records, tax returns, utility bills or other documents listing a Nevada address) and that staff receive confirmation from the employer that the job remains available. The board set a status check to allow staff time to verify the records.
The board emphasized it would work with counsel and staff to make the record-collection process manageable for Mora and noted the motion allowed Mora to begin work as soon as the agent card paperwork and employer confirmation were in order.
