The Marathon County Infrastructure Committee on Sept. 8 unanimously recommended two resolutions related to reserve funds for a proposed new highway facility.
A staff member told the committee the only substantive edit to the first resolution was a wording change — replacing the word “commitment” with “designation” — and said the change did not alter the resolution’s intent. The committee then recommended approval of a resolution to designate higher reserve funds for a new highway facility.
A second resolution would authorize the expenditure of reserve funds for phase 1 design services for the proposed facility. Committee members discussed the items briefly with no additional questions from the floor.
For item B2, Committee Member Jensen moved to recommend approval; Vice Chair Dickinson seconded. For item B3, Committee Member Soybert moved to recommend approval; Jensen seconded. Both motions passed by recorded recommendations of 5-0 and will be forwarded to the Marathon County Board for final action.
