Council extends yard-waste contract with Blue Ribbon Organics for three years

Dave (city staff) said the vendor from Caledonia has provided the city services since February 2016 and responded to competitive RFPs in 2016 and 2021. Staff cited an approximate three‑year contract extension amount of about $390,000.
Council moved to approve the extension and passed the motion by voice vote.
Staff said the vendor processes material and markets the compost; the city uses programmatic procurement processes and competitive solicitations for the service.
