At the conclusion of its public hearings the Florence City Design Review Board announced three new board members and recognized outgoing members.
Chair and staff thanked Bryce Ellington, Joey McMillan and Randy Starnes for their service. The board then welcomed Ahmad Jack Jackson, who said he has lived in Florence for more than 20 years and has worked downtown; Steve Powers, who said he was a member of the first design review board and owns downtown properties and businesses; and Tanya Mormon Jackson, who described herself as a longtime resident, a Florence School District 1 graduate and a community arts advocate with interests in design and architecture.
The board noted the change in membership and confirmed its next scheduled meeting at 2 p.m. on Oct. 8.
