Bedford County commissioners approved a series of purchase‑of‑service agreements recommended by Christopher Gresco, administrator of the Bedford County Children & Youth Services (CYS), along with a memorandum of understanding with United Family Service Systems.
The approved list included, among others, Maricay Pennsylvania Community Specialist Corporation DBA The Academy; Professional Family Care Service Inc.; Summit School Inc. DBA Summit Academy; Alternative Living Solutions; KidsPeace National Centers Inc.; The Blair Foundation of Pennsylvania; Children’s Aid Programs of Somerset County Inc.; Youth Advocate Programs Inc.; Horizon Behavioral Health PLLC; and Justice Works Youth Care. The commissioners also approved a separate set of agreements and consultant services for legal and clinical supports, which were listed on the record.
Christopher Gresco described the agreements as resources to support placements, services and legal counsel for children and families served by the county. Commissioners carried motions approving the vendor list for the 07/01/2025 through 06/30/2026 contract year and related agreements; specific contract terms, payment rates and provider capacities were not read into the record during the meeting.
Ending: The county clerk will publish the approved vendor lists and administrators said more detailed contract documents and scopes of service are available through CYS administration for interested parties.
