Bristol Township School District introduces nearly 40 new teachers at September meeting

Several new teachers gave brief introductions to the board, naming their grade level or assignment and school. They included Kylie Winchester (supplemental learning support, Mill Creek), Ava Gray (second grade, Mill Creek), Ella McMahon (second grade LOA, Mill Creek), Carly Atkins (first grade, Mill Creek), Remi Skolnick (kindergarten, Mill Creek), Allison Solano (second-grade autistic support, Brookwood), Mary O’Connell (third grade, Brookwood), Colin Matecki (emotional support K–2, Brookwood), Jen (supplemental learning support and emotional support K–2, Brookwood), Amber Kiley (third grade, Brookwood), Maria Bennett (learning support, Truman), Zach Zalczyk (eighth-grade ELA, Armstrong Middle), Megan O’Brien (autistic support, Armstrong), Josh Everett (6–8 chorus, Ben Franklin), Omni White (kindergarten, Keystone), Shine Weston (first grade, Keystone), Danielle Andrini (first grade, Keystone), Jordan Hoadley (fourth grade, Keystone), Katie Mensch (fifth-grade ELA, Keystone), Alicia Davila (autistic support second grade, Keystone), Emily Mott (K–5 general music and chorus LOA, Brookwood), Mark Devlin (math, Truman), Denise Topalelli (math, Truman), Matthew Tornetta (math, Truman), Arifa Kinjim (math, Truman), Lauren Vogt (photography, Truman).
Board members and administrators praised the new hires and encouraged community attendance at back-to-school nights and other events that connect families with teachers. The board’s curriculum report also noted organizational memberships for music and a new Spanish heritage speakers textbook request; the curriculum committee indicated those items will appear on the October agenda for approval.
