At the start of the Sept. 10 meeting the San Mateo Sustainability and Infrastructure Commission approved its consent calendar (approval of Aug. 13 meeting minutes) and later elected new officers for the coming term.
The commission recorded a unanimous vote (5-0) to approve the consent calendar. During new business, commissioners nominated and then elected Commissioner Michael to serve as chair and Commissioner Kranz to serve as vice chair. The commission conducted a roll-call-style vote; both officer elections passed 5-0. Chair Michael said the council prefers next years election to be held in June, so Michael will serve a nine-month term through the adjusted schedule.
The commission noted public comment rules and heard no public speakers on the consent calendar or the election item.
