The motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
The logo selection matters for how the town will present itself on items such as shirts, hats and letterhead, board members said during the discussion. Several speakers asked that the design be simple enough to reproduce clearly on copies and on clothing, and that the mountain silhouette resemble Paragonah’s local terrain rather than sharp, pointed peaks.
On planning fees, the board considered a PNZ recommendation to charge $25 for lot-line adjustments and $50 for a simple subdivision (a single lot split). PNZ members told the board these amounts were intended primarily to cover review time and minimal clerical processing; board members expressed concern that advertising or recording costs could exceed those amounts but were told Paragonah now uses an online public notices site rather than a paid paper ad. A motion to adopt the fees was made, seconded and carried by voice vote.
Board members also approved the minutes of the Aug. 13, 2025 regular meeting and the Sept. 2, 2025 special meeting after clarifying a few phrasing and attribution points in the draft minutes.
