GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. — The Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously on a package of contract awards, task orders, grants and appointments during its regular meeting on May 6.
The board approved engineering task orders and construction contracts for several road and sidewalk projects, accepted state law-enforcement grant funding for the sheriff’s office, approved updates to event rental and partnership agreements, and confirmed two appointments. Two budget-related items were set aside for further public hearing or further information.
Among approvals were: a supplemental agreement and construction contract for the Burial Bridge rehabilitation project; CEI (construction engineering and inspection) task orders for the Providence Road widening and resurfacing project and for a downtown road project; a no-cost amendment to the Sandco LLC construction contract for the South Adams Street sidewalk project in Quincy; acceptance of a state law-enforcement salary assistance grant (listed at $783,826); approval of an updated rental agreement for the William Inman Agriculture Pavilion; a five-year memorandum of understanding with the Gadsden County Soil and Water Conservation District; acceptance of funding for an EMS life-saving mobile application and training; and the board’s appointment of two planning commission members.
A separate item — a resolution (No. 25-045) authorizing budget amendments to maintain a balanced fiscal year 2025 budget — was removed from the consent agenda and will be handled as a noticed public hearing at a later date.…
