Votes at a glance: Revere board approves consent items on finances, personnel, contracts and an out-of-state softball trip

The Revere Local Board of Education voted on several consent items grouped by the treasurer and superintendent.

Treasurer’s consent (Group 8.1–8.6): The board approved the minutes from prior meetings, the financial report (showing an early favorable variance of approximately $63,000), purchase orders, donations, asset deletions and a $75,000 transfer to a turf replacement fund. The motion was seconded and approved by roll call; board members recorded “Yes” votes for Mrs. Brackett, Mr. Hajdu, Mr. Malek, Mrs. Rainey and Mrs. Stein.

Superintendent’s consent (Group 9.1.a–9.1.d and 9.2.a–9.3 etc.): The board approved personnel items including additional hours, corrected salary placements, co- and extra‑curricular supplemental contracts, classified staff changes, new hires, bus drivers in training, athletic supplemental contracts, and out-of-state field trip approval for the softball team’s spring-break travel. Vendor agreements for the Northeast Ohio Educational Service Center and Solent Health were approved to cover service needs including a psychologist on maternity leave. Revised policies were presented as a first reading with no action taken.

Roll-call outcomes: For each consent motion recorded at the meeting, the board’s roll-call recorded unanimous “Yes” votes by the five voting members in attendance. No abstentions or “No” votes were recorded on the consent motions that were put to a vote during the meeting.

For transparency: the meeting packet listed names of staff hires, contract vendors, donation amounts and purchase-order items; the district indicated it will update its forecast soon and will report EVAS value‑added data at the November meeting.
