The proclamation recognized cultural ties exemplified by Giuseppe Jo Muir and the Muir House and described the anniversary as an opportunity for cultural exchange and community celebration. Mayor Aquino and representatives from the Muir House and the Folsom Historic District Association described recent related events and the creation of a “culture capsule” to send to the sister city.
