Revere rolls out Status Solutions 'KT Mobile' staff alert system to speed building-level emergency communications

The Revere Local School District is implementing Status Solutions’ KT Mobile, a staff-facing emergency communication tool that district officials say will deliver real-time, building- and room-specific alerts to staff devices and central administrators.
Officer Scott Dressler, the district SRO, described the system’s features to the board: building- and room-level buttons for active shooter, admin assist, evacuation (with mustering/reunification lists), instructional lockdowns, medical emergencies (which notify 911 and key staff), tornado alerts and a test function. Dressler said an active-shooter alert can trigger takeover messages on digital bulletin boards and provide camera feeds to administrators and safety forces.
District staff will have access on district-issued iPads or personal devices; Dressler said drivers and custodial staff will also be given access even when phones cannot be used on buses. He told the board the district acquired the KT Mobile service after grant-writing and that Status Solutions has two product sides (KT Mobile for staff and SARA for broader community/custodian/parent messaging); the KT Mobile side is fully deployed while the SARA side remains under setup.
Dressler credited IT staff (John Shanker was named) and the Revere Schools Foundation for assistance getting the system in place and said building-level training for staff will follow. Board members asked about accidental activations; Dressler said the app prompts users to confirm and allows an explanatory message to be sent if a button is pressed accidentally.
