The Metro Nashville Historic Zoning Commission voted to approve its consent agenda, approving administrative permits and a set of minor preservation permits, the commission chair said at the start of the meeting. The commission also read legal appeal information for the public.
Commission staff read the consent items aloud so members of the public could identify items they opposed. Items placed on the consent agenda included administrative permits issued the prior month and individual preservation permit applications for 813 Boscobel Street (alterations and a new outbuilding), 227 Chapel Avenue (addition), 2030 Tenth Avenue South (addition and outbuilding), 8207 Third Avenue North (signage), 1813/1834 Fourth Avenue North (signage), 3517 Richland Avenue (addition), and 3605 Central Avenue (addition). One item listed on the consent agenda (item 6 in the packet) was moved to new business and removed from the consent vote.
Staff advised the public that a preservation permit is not a building permit and that work also requires approval from the Metropolitan Department of Codes Administration. Staff also told the public that appeal of a commission decision must be filed in Davidson County Chancery or Circuit Court within 60 days of the commission's decision.
Commissioner Mosley moved approval of the consent agenda; Commissioner Cashion seconded. The commission voted in favor and the consent agenda was approved as presented.
