Delhi Township Parks and Recreation and the Events Department provided routine updates to trustees on Sept. 24 about maintenance, upgrades and upcoming community events.
Parks Director Soupy said installation of pickleball court dividers and net shades is scheduled to begin soon and that crews will post court-closure dates in advance. Staff planted four memorial trees this week and ordered solar lights for park walkways near Fields 12 and the dog-park access. Soupy said backstop netting was ordered to replace worn equipment and that the township's free-fishing program concludes this Friday for the year.
Marketing and Events Director Bob Riesenberg said the Touch-a-Truck event generated interest in the Event Center and that staff are preparing a fall schedule that includes Harvest Hootenanny (Oct. 11), family movie nights, a Trunk-or-Treat, the Halloweekend Bonanza and the Christmas parade on Dec. 6. He also noted the arts-program schedule and a final week for Chris Mallory's gallery exhibit at the event center.
Trustees thanked staff for volunteer coordination and event management; no board action was required.
