Trustees adopt cybersecurity policy ahead of state deadline

The Delhi Township Board of Trustees adopted Resolution 2025-192 on Sept. 24, establishing a township cybersecurity policy and dispensing with a second reading.
Administrator Miller told the board the township was acting ahead of a June 30 statutory deadline for townships established by House Bill 96. Miller said the policy will require training and technology measures for township officials and staff; he said more guidance about required training will come from the Ohio Auditor of State and related state offices.
Trustees moved to dispense with the second reading, then adopted the resolution by roll call as recorded in the meeting.
The policy text, training schedule and any annual-training requirements were not read in full during the meeting; Miller said staff would implement the requirements over the next nine months in advance of the statutory deadline.
