Cape Girardeau 63 after-school program buys supplies for 500, adds stadium seating and drone soccer

Dunn said “we were able to buy school supplies for 500 students this year,” and that junior high cheerleaders packed the supplies over the summer so backpacks “could be delivered and waiting on students on day 1.” The donations, she said, were made possible by community partners and volunteers.
Dunn said new seating at the high school baseball and softball field was made possible by a donation from the Rhodes family. She also announced a drone soccer program at Terry W. Kitchen Central Junior High, saying the initiative’s stated mission is to “inspire students to pursue careers in aerospace and science.”
Dunn described the drone soccer offering as an after-school opportunity and closed the announcement with, “We can't wait for our students to have this new after school opportunity. And that's this week's Fab 3. Go Tigers!”
