At its Sept. 3 meeting the Hampton City School Board recorded several formal actions by voice vote.
- Student representatives: The board approved Caleb Lucas and Sage Holden as student representatives and Ava Tanner as alternate for the 2025–26 school year. The motion was moved by a board member and seconded; the presiding officer announced the motion carried.
- Consent agenda: The board approved the consent agenda including Personnel Report 25‑13.
- Minutes: The board approved minutes of the Aug. 20, 2025 school board meeting (action item 6.01).
- Block action: The board took items 6.02 through 6.09 as a block and approved them. Those items included new and revised policies on student athlete heat safety (JAG), FOIA request procedures (KGD/KBA), student records (JO), opioid antagonist policy (EBBC), drugs in school (JFCI), electronic devices (JP), and exclusions and exemptions from compulsory attendance (JEG). The board moved the block and carried the motion by voice vote.
Clerks called for ayes from each voting member; the presiding officer announced "Motion carries" after each vote. The meeting record indicates unanimous voice votes in favor for the motions called during the session; no roll-call dissent or abstentions were recorded in the public record presented at the meeting.
