At its Sept. 18 meeting the Port Washington Planning Commission completed two routine 12-month conditional use reviews and approved continuation of both permits.
Bob Harris, planning staff, said the Lucky Devil's Bar and Grill at 55 North Wisconsin Street (owner: Milwaukee Mustache Properties LLC) had no complaints on record from the building inspections, police or fire departments during the past 12 months. "I have not received any complaints or issues," Harris said. Commissioner Neumeier, who represents the district where the business is located, told the commission he had not been contacted by neighbors and described the establishment as "a very nice establishment". The commission voted to extend the conditional use without an annual review.
The commission also reviewed a conditional use for Anuran Holdings LLC at 216 South Montgomery Street (warehouse and distribution use in the former Ozaki Press building). Harris said the principal outstanding site item was paving an access lane that provides service to the property behind the site; the staff recommendation included completion of the paving and final landscape installation as conditions of continued approval. Harris said there were no complaints from building inspections, police or fire. The commission voted to continue the conditional use, noting the applicant is required to meet the paving and landscaping items reflected in the site plan.
Votes and next steps: both conditional uses were continued by commission action; staff will monitor completion of the paving and landscaping items associated with the Anuran holdings site plan.
