Franklin County commissioners vote not to renew HR director Margo Wilder’s employment agreement; administrator named acting HR director

The board then moved and approved appointing Bridal Danzel, or his designee, as acting HR director. Commissioners publicly thanked Wilder for “more than 20 years of service to Franklin County” and expressed hope the county could find another role for her.
No written settlement terms, effective dates, or personnel-details were recorded in the public minutes during the meeting. Commissioners said negotiation authority was delegated to the county administrator, who will report back to the board about placement and details.
The actions followed an executive-session notice under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) for potential litigation. Commissioners recessed into executive session for a stated period and later reconvened to take the personnel actions.
