Under the resolution the housing authority will reimburse the hourly salaries of four police officers for fiscal year 2026 in support of policing at seven public housing facilities. Under new business the council suspended the rules and approved appointments to the Gadsden City Youth Council. The council appointed Ramaya Davenport from District 1 and Lorabella Brown from District 5, with terms expiring no later than July 31 of each year. The suspension of rules and the appointments were both adopted by voice votes after motions and seconding were recorded.
