James Anthony Minnick Jr. (who said he owns several properties in the city) promoted a trunk‑or‑treat event at 406 First Street planned for Thursday, Oct. 30, and provided contact numbers for participation and road‑closure requests.
David Hamantree, who identified himself as a member of the Community Police Oversight Commission, said the commission will hold a community‑outreach session at the council chamber on Thursday, Oct. 9, and noted its next regular meeting is scheduled for Nov. 13. He asked the council and public to help promote the outreach session.
Other commenters raised long‑standing neighborhood infrastructure concerns and community volunteer events. Comments were recorded for the public record; the council did not take immediate action on the individual statements during the meeting.
