Delaware County Board approves slate of resolutions, schedules public hearing on youth hunting law and enters executive session

The Delaware County Board of Supervisors approved a series of resolutions on routine county business and scheduled a public hearing on a proposed local law to permit supervised 12- and 13-year-old licensed hunters to use firearms or crossbows during hunting season.

The board adopted proclamations recognizing a sheriff’s week and National 4‑H Week, approved budget amendments including acceptance of SNAP‑Ed funding, reappointed Jim Ellis as deputy chairman and a director of real property tax services, authorized disposition of unneeded veterans service property, approved an agreement related to tax certiorari proceedings involving the Delaware Academy Central School, and designated the Delaware County Department of Economic Development as the county’s tourism promotion agency. The board also voted to move into an executive session for contract negotiations.
