The City of Muskogee City Council on Sept. 22 authorized the city manager to negotiate and execute Amendment No. 1 to the existing contract with Cook Construction for the Southside Industrial Park sewer line project. Staff said the change adds required federal contract language for federally funded projects; it does not change the contract amount.
Mister Stewart told council the project is a 12-inch sewer line running from Gulick to Main Street. The original notice of award and agreement with Cook Construction were issued on Feb. 10; the contract amount is recorded as $1,716,344.98. Stewart said the contract is an ARPA-funded project and the amendment adds standard federal nondiscrimination and related clauses required by federal funding conditions.
The council approved the amendment by roll call. The approval was described as not altering the contract price or scope, but ensuring compliance with federal contract requirements for ARPA-funded projects.
No changes to project funding or schedule were announced during the council discussion.
