Board recognizes staff for opening new preschool program serving 114 students

The Cuyahoga Falls City School District Board of Education on Sept. 10 publicly recognized the staff who opened the district’s new preschool program.
Superintendent Dr. Scott thanked administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, custodial staff and office personnel for completing licensing requirements and preparing classrooms on a tight schedule. She told the board that 114 students are enrolled in the new program and that the district will present staff with a commemorative plaque marking the establishment date once the plaque arrives.
Staff remarks during the recognition emphasized the scale of the work required to open a new school environment even on a small scale. The superintendent noted behind‑the‑scenes support for registration and other logistics, and invited preschool staff and families in the audience forward for the recognition and a slideshow.
Board members commended staff and thanked families for their support; trustees said they look forward to the preschool program growing.
