Board approves 2025'26 school improvement plans; plans to submit midyear reflections in February

The Pinellas County School Board voted 7-0 to approve the 2025'26 school improvement plans, district staff said.
Leanne Eisen, director of strategic planning and policy, told the board that all school improvement plans were developed by school leadership teams using the state template and that plans are posted on the district website. She said the state deadline to submit school improvement plans is Aug. 1 each year, schools will submit midyear reflections in February and are encouraged to share updates with their school advisory councils.
Board members said they reviewed plans for their children's schools and praised the thoroughness of the documents. The approval motion was made by Miss Edmond and seconded by Missus Long; the vote was 7-0.
The district said it provides written guides, office hours, in-person work sessions and one-on-one support during plan development. Schools are expected to revise plans throughout the year to improve student achievement.
