The applicant, Leticia Ibarra, told commissioners she holds cosmetology and aesthetician licenses and certificates and plans to provide aesthetician services and retail of skin-care products. Staff recommended approval and noted that certain health- or medical-aesthetic services require licensure and would be enforced through permitting and licensing requirements.
Commissioners asked about required certifications for aesthetician services; the applicant confirmed she holds the necessary cosmetology and aesthetician credentials. Commissioner Frank Federko moved to close public discussion and approve the item as recommended by staff; Commissioner Angela Lucky Vaughn seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The approval allows the applicant to proceed with business permitting and any required licensure before operation.
