Board of Public Purchasing approves routine contracts, encroachments and traffic resolution; adopts fire policy manual

Greenwood’s Board of Public Purchasing on Sept. 15 approved a package of routine purchasing and public-works items, including a two-year drug and alcohol testing contract adjustment, two fence-encroachment approvals, release of maintenance letters of credit for Southpointe Business Park and adoption of the fire department policy manual.

The board’s action bundled several low-profile items that drew little debate: a small fee increase for urine drug testing under the city’s contract with India Testing Incorporated; ratification of a $500 trade-in for an older piece of equipment to MH Equipment; approval of encroachment permits for fences at 1243 Patons Drive and 1083 Sugar Maple Drive with standard conditions; release of maintenance letters of credit for Southpointe Business Park; and authorization for staff to prepare sanitary sewer service agreements for Honey Creek Farm Section 3 and Sage Fire Bybill Section 4 once documents are in proper form.
