The Tigard-Tualatin School District Board of Directors approved Resolution 25-26-07 to accept and authorize the district to enter into the agreement for a grant referred to in the meeting as the "AWESOME" grant. Jessica Senn (Chief Financial Officer) told the board the policy requires board approval for grants exceeding $150,000 and noted the award includes underlying state debt requirements that also require the board’s authorization.
Vice Chair Urban moved approval and Director Kristen Miles seconded. The motion carried unanimously with no opposition recorded. Senn told the board the resolution and a copy of the grant document were provided in the board packet earlier in the week. No detailed grant budget or program description was discussed on the public record beyond that the board’s approval is needed to accept and to execute the grant agreement.
Board members voted to accept the grant and authorize execution; staff will complete any contract paperwork and follow the grant’s reporting and compliance requirements. The CFO will manage the next steps and bring any related authorizations or budget adjustments to the board as required by district policy and the grant terms.
