Select board sets special town meeting for Nov. 12; warrant open through Sept. 12

The Select Board has scheduled a special town meeting for Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the Apponauquit High School auditorium, the Master Plan Implementation Committee was told on Sept. 22.

Colleen Leeb, executive assistant to the Select Board, notified the committee by email: “Due to a scheduling conflict, the Select Board after Tuesday, 09/02/2025 meeting voted to change the special town meeting date to Wednesday, 11/12/2025 at 7PM at the Apponauquit High School auditorium. The warrant is open, and any articles or placeholders are due to the town administrator by Friday, 09/12/2025 at noontime,” the email read.

Committee members reviewed items that may appear on the warrant. The Planning Board has not submitted the Open Space Residential Design (OSRD) bylaw for town meeting action; committee members were told the Planning Board voted to table the proposal at its last meeting. Committee members also said a stormwater warrant article was tabled and that there may be a warrant article addressing dilapidated or blighted properties.

Committee members flagged one petition they expect to draw debate: a citizen’s petition that would remove health‑insurance eligibility for members of boards and committees, the committee was told. The committee noted that other articles on the warrant appear to be housekeeping in nature.

Warrant deadlines and locations: articles and placeholders must be delivered to the town administrator by noon on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025; the town’s official warrant and final agenda will be set by the Select Board prior to the meeting.
