The Community Multicultural Commission of the City of Garland voted Sept. 18 to add a note to the minutes of its Aug. 21 meeting about a prior question on whether commissioners could purchase tickets to a golf tournament, then approved the minutes as amended.
The amendment was introduced as a motion to add the discussion of the ability to purchase tickets to the August minutes. Commissioner Christopher “CJ” Johnson made the motion; Commissioner Glenna seconded. The chair called for a voice vote and the ayes carried.
After the amendment was added, Commissioner Steven moved to approve the minutes as amended, and Commissioner Johnson seconded. The chair again called for a voice vote and the ayes carried.
The actions were procedural and limited to adoption of the record; no additional policy or budget decisions were made as part of the vote.
The meeting proceeded to committee reports and event planning after the minutes were approved.
