Resident raises fire-safety and irrigation concerns at Oak Crest Manufactured Home Park

A resident of Oak Crest Manufactured Home Park told the City Council she is concerned that three years without irrigation along Ramsey and inside the park has left evergreens dry, some already dead, creating a fire hazard and potential security gaps where fences will not be continuous.
Mary Meryl identified herself as a resident of Oak Crest and said property values and resident safety are at risk if trees are cut and irrigation is not restored. She asked the council to be mindful if the property owner seeks a zoning change.
Council members and staff said the park is privately owned, served by two water meters, and the property owner decides whether to irrigate. Troy (staff) said the trees at issue sit on private land along a fence and are not in the public right-of-way. The council invited staff to follow up with the resident and pass along concerns to property management.
