City staff: PG&E work on U.S. 101 delayed to mid-November; traffic and nuisance committee meetings scheduled

RIO DELL, Calif. — The city manager told the Rio Dell City Council on Sept. 16 that Pacific Gas & Electric work tied to U.S. 101 at the north end of town has encountered problems and is unlikely to finish by the previously announced Oct. 27 date.
"That project was scheduled to be closed out by the October, October 27. They have encountered, numerous problems, so we are anticipating that that project is not gonna be completed, until sometime mid, mid November," the city manager said. The manager noted the PG&E project is related to Caltrans work in the same location and does not directly involve city operations but wanted the council aware of the delay.
The city manager also announced a nuisance advisory committee meeting at City Hall the following day at 3 p.m. and a traffic committee meeting on Thursday at 4 p.m.
