Ortell said the organization recently completed a capital campaign that allowed purchase of a four‑plex downtown and a new outreach site; she told the council the group expects to pay off the four‑plex purchase soon.
The proclamation text, read by Mayor Hart, noted statewide statistics cited by Dove Center representatives and highlighted the city’s commitment to supporting first responders and local efforts to reduce domestic violence. The mayor closed by urging residents to use October to learn more about resources and to support survivors.
